President Lincoln Desk Location Marker

Bronze, 7 ½" x 7 ½"
One of eight similar markers placed in August 1974; all were replaced with new markers in July 1999
National Statuary Hall

These markers have been placed in the approximate locations of desks used by men who served as members of the House of Representatives while the House met in this chamber and also served as president of the United States. Because historical records are sometimes unclear, and because some members may have changed desks during their tenure, it is not possible to determine exact locations.
