Departmental Offices Summer 2008 Internship Program - is designed to give students a unique opportunity to witness and contribute to the Department of the Treasury's important mission of “managing the U.S. Government’s finances effectively, promoting economic growth and stability, and ensuring the safety, soundness, and security of the U.S. international financial systems.

In addition to normal office duties, interns will attend weekly lectures, volunteer at special events, participate in tours, and contribute to a community service project in the Washington, D.C. area. Approximately 10-15 interns will be chosen to participate in this highly competitive program. College students of all majors are encouraged to apply.

Duration:

May 27 – August 1

Salary: Volunteer
Eligibilty Requirements:


At least 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship

Enrolled in an undergraduate program at a nationally accredited college or university

A United States citizen

Application Materials:
Cover letter (including dates of availability and offices of interest), resume, and a copy of an official or unofficial transcript.
Deadline: All application materials must be sent to internapplication@do.treas.gov on or before March 14, 2008.  Selected applicants will be notified by April 15, 2008.
