Visualizing the Frequency Patterns of DNA Sequences

Dr. Fern Hunt
NIST, MCSD
Room 618, NIST North
September 30, 2004, 10:30am

This is an informal presentation of some statistical issues that arise when attempting to visualize the frequency of DNA subsequences of whole genome data. These patterns can be used to identify biological significant regions of the DNA. We will illustrate this with several examples.
