Slated for the first Friday in October and corresponding with National Arts and Humanities Month, California Arts Day coordinates the creative energy and love of the arts in the state to celebrate the arts as one community. Grants totaling $4.45 million go to California arts organizations to support the preservation of jobs The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announced that 99 California arts organizations will receive American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding to support the preservation of jobs, for a total of $4.45 million in this round of funding.
