2006 Rainfall Summary

   The area to the northwest of Huntsville had by far the greatest rain this year, while the areas to the west and southeast of the city were still shaking off the effects of the drought which lasted into September (you can see a spatial plot of the drought deficits here). All areas of Madison County received less than average precipitation this year, some by as much as 22 inches.
