Municipal Development

Albuquerque's Department of Municipal Development is dedicated to building our public facilities better and faster than ever before - from streets to drainage channels to the new Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum.

Mayor Martin J. Chávez created the Department in June 2003 to lead the way in completing these important projects on schedule and on budget for all City residents.

The Department brings together the individuals needed to plan, manage, and build these projects, providing us with the opportunity to achieve our goal: building Albuquerque...better, faster!
