The Council, along with NOAA Fisheries, maintain an extensive electronic library of many of the published papers, reports, and FMP Amendment Analyses.  These are available here, along with a site at NOAA Fisheries, Juneau

Electronic copies of papers and documents are sometimes published on our website before the meeting that they are to be discussed - these may be then taken off our website as they become outdated or replaced by a newer version.  Anything here, as well as everything presented by the Council is always available as a hard copy from our office.  Because of the variety and subject matter of our documents, we have categorized them in the following manner:

Amendment Analyses:  These are the most straightforward:  to date we have 79 Amendment Analyses for the BSAI, 73 for the GOA, 17 for BSAI Crab, and 8 for Scallop/Salmon.  Some of these analyses are currently under review, and may be replaced by a more current version.

Scientific Papers:  These papers were recently prepared by Council staff and
published in scientific journals, or in conference proceedings. These papers
tend to be of a more technical nature, but may be of interest to scientists,
managers, and others interested in scientific literature.

Summary Reports:  The summary reports were developed to distill large
documents into more easily accessible information. Included in this
category are FMP summaries, species profiles, and other public outreach
papers.

Miscellaneous Publications:  This category includes papers on special
subjects, and other papers not included in the other categories. For
example, the report from the independent scientific review of harvest
strategies is available here.

Newsletters:  The newsletters are the best source to find out what happened at a meeting.  A newsletter is compiled as soon as a meeting is completed, and summarizes the action taken, and in some cases the implications.  Many times an attachment to the newsletter may give specifics, or include a proposal form.  In any case, the Newsletter is a good place to start if you are looking for specific information.

Minutes:  The minutes for the SSC and the AP are finalized during the Council meeting.  They are meant to be advisory in nature only, and therefore do not include discussions or debate.  They are action minutes, only.  The Council minutes are comprehensive in nature, and detail more specifically discussions and actions as well as the main motion.  Usually these are not available until a few months after the meeting.

SAFE Reports:  The most recent Stock Assessment and Fishery Evaluation Reports are available here.
