Saharan dust over the Mediterranean Sea

On April 13, 2002, a Saharan dust storm was blowing dust out over northern Africa and the Mediterranean Sea, all the way to Italy. This image was made from data acquired by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Terra satellite.
