Description |
The National Committee is a grassroots organization advocating the preservation of the country's two most politically sacred entitlement programs. Through candidate endorsements, incumbent ratings, grassroots activity, issue advertising, and, of course, campaign contributions, the National Committee promotes an agenda highlighted by its opposition to Social Security "privatization," which would allow people to put part of their Social Security benefits into private investment accounts, and its support of a prescription drug benefit in Medicare.

Description |
Pioneer Network is dedicated to making fundamental changes in values and practices to create a culture of aging that is life-affirming, satisfying, humane and meaningful. Pioneer Network advocates for culture change in eldercare models from long-term nursing home care to short-term transitional care to community-based care to create homes that are consumer-driven and person-directed.
To advance these goals, Pioneer Network supports public policy changes; collaborates with researchers; collects and shares adaptable practices and procedures that put person before task; creates communication, networking and learning opportunities; and hosts a national conference.
