- Observations
- The observational records (surface marine reports from ships, buoys, and other platform types) are all available online. This set of basic data may be used to develop products to fit specific research needs. The ICOADS data are now stored in an ascii (IMMA) format, which is also accessible through an online request interface that permits subsetting in space, time, and by parameter. Quality control and record type filtering can also be applied.
- ICOADS individual marine reports
- Access options from NCAR
- NCEP near-real-time (NRT) marine reports
- Abbreviated ascii format
- Monthly Summary Statistics
- The monthly summary statistics are all available online. These products are stored in a binary format, accessible using Fortran software. They are also available in an ascii format by using an online request interface that permits subsetting by space, time, and by variable. In addition, the summaries are available in standardized netCDF format.
- ICOADS year-month statistics
- Ten statistics (such as the mean and median) are calculated for each of 22 observed and derived variables, using 2° latitude x 2° longitude boxes back to 1800 (and 1°x1° boxes since 1960).
- Access options from NCAR
- Access options from PSD in netCDF format
- NCEP near-real-time (NRT) statistics (ICOADS-like)
- Two summary statistics, the mean and number of observations, for each of 13 observed and derived variables, using 2°x2° boxes.
- Access statistics in ascii format (1998-)
- Access statistics in netCDF format (1991-)
- Visualization and subsetting of netCDF files (currently unavailable due to PSD website transition issues)
- Live Access Server
