Professional Background

Andrew Klein is a business specialist with the Advanced Technology Program focusing primarily on corporate development within the biotechnology sector. He has been with ATP over 11 years and is involved more specifically with tissue engineering/regenerative medicine, genomics and proteomics, biomaterials development, and new methods for the development of drug delivery and drug discovery.

He joined ATP following a three-year stint with Department of Energy's Office of Industrial Technology. Preceding that, Mr. Klein had several years experience in the telecommunications field as a consultant to the long distance market and as a marketing manager for a local network in the D.C. area. Prior to that, Mr. Klein spent several years as an economic analyst for the firm of Nathan and Associates. He is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and has a master's degree in finance from Johns Hopkins University.
