The Democrats' legislation would lead to a government takeover of health care and force millions of Americans to give up the coverage they have, increase health care costs, and impose a crippling tax on small business job creators to pay for it.

Republicans believe that we can work together to strengthen the current system and enable all Americans to have access to needed health care. In a year that has seen the loss of over 3 million jobs in America, Republicans remain focused on creating jobs, cutting spending to reduce the deficit, and keeping taxes low.
