Burke-Gilman Trail detour in place for 6 months as major road reconstruction continues in Kenmore

A short portion of King County’s Burke Gilman Trail through Kenmore will remain rerouted around a major road construction project for about six months.

The marked detour, which was set up by the City of Kenmore, is required for widening and repaving work that’s under way along State Route 522. The detour follows 73rd Avenue Northeast and Northeast 175th Street.

“This is a very busy stretch of the Burke Gilman Trail, and we are urging everyone to use extreme caution through the detour,” said Robert Foxworthy, regional trails coordinator for King County Parks.
