Life-saving device stolen from Marymoor Park

An automated external defibrillator, identical to this model, was stolen from its location in Marymoor Park .
Medtronic LP CR Plus AED

One of the four state-of-the-art Automated External Defibrillators (AED) donated to King County for use at Marymoor Park earlier this year, has been reported missing. The AED was last seen its storage box near the ballfields on Nov. 8, and was reported missing the next day.

The unit is a "Medtronic LP CR Plus" AED, with a serial number of 34839240. The case and unit are bright yellow and black are labeled with several "Property of Marymoor Park" stickers. The device is about 4 1/4 inches tall, 8 inches wide, 9 1/2 inches deep and weighs about 4 1/2 lbs.

Anyone with information about the device's location or theft should call Marymoor Park at 206-205-3661.

In August, the Rotary Club of Redmond Rousers donated four state-of-the-art AEDs to King County for use at Marymoor, which is one of King County's the most popular parks in King County's nationally acclaimed parks system.

The AEDs have been located in the most heavily used areas of the park and a vailable to the public at all times . The devices immediately upgraded King County's ability to respond to any sudden cardiac incidents at the 640-acre park.
