Items for recommendation to the Board of Supervisors • Resolution appointing the agent to receive claims for damages. • Resolution relating to inspection and copying of public records. • Resolution amending the rules and operating procedures. Metropolitan King County Council – 11:00 a.m. Councilmembers will recognize Michele Brees, recipient of the 2008 Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching
Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on: • Ordinances adopting labor agreements between the County and the Public Safety Employees Union (Communications Specialists Supervisors) and the King County Court Protection Guild (Court Protection – County Marshals) (Ordinances 2009-0500 and 2009-0501).

Tuesday, August 25 Physical Environment Committee – ** SPECIAL MEETING TIME ** 12:00 noon Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council: • A motion requesting the executive to propose policies to guide the development and use of electric vehicle charging stations at county facilities (Motion 2009-0494) • An ordinance implementing an emergency storm debris voucher program (Ordinance 2009-0200) • An ordinance authorizing an interlocal agreement with the city of Bellevue to implement a regional program to transfer development rights from lands in priority King County rural and resource areas into the city of Bellevue’s Bel-Red subarea (Ordinance 2009-0498). Law, Justice and Health and Human Services Committee – 1:30 p.m. Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council: • A motion supporting a multicounty work force housing down payment assistance initiative to assist in restoring the economic vitality of western Washington (Motion 2009-0436). • A motion establishing policy guidance for the funding of human services in the King County 2010 Budget Ordinance (Motion 2009-0493).
