Jaroots and H.I.V./AIDS in Zambia.

OBJECTIVE: Treating complications of H.I.V./AIDS and improving the well being of patients, reducing morbidity and mortality, prolongation of pain free useful life. METHOD: The criteria for participation in the study is verifiable H.I.V. serological test, ability to come to the clinic for treatment as instructed, conscientious reporting of symptomological changes. Open trial using herbal remedies. 196 patients were seen at Jaroots clinic from February 1991-February 1994. Patients were divided into four categories indicating the severity of disease.
