Lung Cancer Trial Results
1. No Survival Benefit from Adjuvant Chemo in Stage 1B NSCLC (Posted: 10/30/2008) - The paclitaxel-plus-carboplatin adjuvant chemotherapy regimen offers no survival benefit to patients with stage 1B non-small-cell lung cancer, according to a report published online September 22, 2008, in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
2. Cetuximab Plus Chemotherapy Extends Survival for Advanced Lung Cancer (Posted: 06/19/2008) - Patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer who received cetuximab (Erbitux) plus chemotherapy lived on average five weeks longer than patients who received chemotherapy alone, according to findings presented at the 2008 ASCO meeting in Chicago.
