Open an Account

The King County Solid Waste Division offers charge accounts to qualified customers. The minimum qualifications are the customer must incur at least $100 per month in user fees and must post an irrevocable payment bond. The bond must be in an amount equal to the larger of the peak three consecutive months of user fee charges from the prior twelve months (adjusted for rate changes) or $3,500.

Charge customers receive monthly bills which are due on or before the twenty-fifth day following the billing date listed on the invoice. A late payment penalty equal to one and one-half percent of the delinquent unpaid balance compounded monthly, shall be assessed on the delinquent unpaid balances.

For more information and an application for a charge account, please contact Linda Glines at 206-296-4454 or request an application online (please provide your complete mailing address).
