Genealogical Records at the King County Archives

The King County Archives maintains many records that are useful to family history researchers.  This includes many types of records that are not traditionally thought of as genealogical in nature, but which can provide information about the lives of your ancestors in King County.  Did your ancestors have some kind of legal connection with the King County government?  We may have record of that and can certainly help you locate the record you are looking for.  Not all of these records are indexed by name, and some may need to be accessed by a date or a geographic location (section-township-range).

Our staff can provide limited genealogical research assistance. We also make records available to onsite researchers. Please make an appointment at least one business day in advance of your visit.
