Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur arrived in Warsaw, Poland Wednesday where she is accompanying former Toledoan and Polish Cavalry Commander Marion Wojciechowski to the land of his birth for commemorative ceremonies marking the September 1, 1939 invasion of
Poland by the Nazis.
Continuing her outreach to constituents on reforming health insurance, Congresswoman Kaptur participated in a health care web chat on WTOL, Channel 11, in Toledo, answering more than 20 questions in a session that lasted well over half an hour on August 14.
Health care policy dominated the “Congressional Town Hall Meeting” on WCPN radio. Congresswoman Kaptur joined Northern Ohio colleagues Marcia Fudge (11th Congressional District) and Betty Sutton (13th District) on the award-winning “Sound of Ideas” program.
Congresswoman Kaptur emphasized helping small business, noting that 27 million people who own or work for small businesses lack health insurance.
Congresswoman Kaptur continued her outreach to constituents on health care and the economy during a very successful telephone town hall meeting. Approximately 2,500 people participated in the call and several hundred people were on the line with the congresswoman at any given time!
Congresswoman Kaptur fielded 18 calls during the one-hour session; other callers were able to leave messages on an answering machine if they still had questions.
