Pallone Supports Grant for New Fire Station in Asbury Park
Washington, D.C. --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., sent the following letter today to Assistant Administrator Ross Ashley, at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to express his support for the Asbury Park Fire Department's request of a $5 million grant. The grant would go towards the construction of a new fire station for the city. The current building is more than 100 years old and faces serious structural damage.

Pallone Announces Federal Fire Grants for Old Bridge Township
Washington, D.C. --- U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) announced today that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has approved $219,330 for the Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Company for operations and safety purposes and $18,723 for Old Bridge Fire District #2 for recruitment purposes. The funding was included in the Fiscal Year 2008 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program and the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Program.
