On MSNBC to discuss the economy
Congressman Pence appeared on MSNBC alongside Congressman Adam Smith to discuss the President's speech and the Republican and Democrats ideas for the best way to move forward.
Healthcare Reform
Congress has made the decision to postpone a vote on healthcare reform legislation. This will provide all of us – both members of Congress and interested constituents – with ample time to review and study the proposals before Congress as well as all of the other important issues surrounding healthcare reform. We must not rush a bill this important. Any final product must be durable and have the lasting support of the American people. It must provide quality, affordable healthcare while controlling costs and improving quality.
Over the next few weeks, I suggest everyone review the proposals before Congress. This is a vitally important issue and there are a number of different proposals before Congress and a final product will most likely encompass aspects from all of them. You can find a copy of the bill here.
I would also like to thank the thousands of constituents who have expressed their opinions at my town halls, telephone town hall, in passing in the district, calling my office or through e-mail. Town Hall Meeting
The August 25th town hall has changed locations. The event will now be held at Harry Lang Stadium (6615 111th St SW, Lakewood, WA 98499) and will still take place from 7:00pm - 8:30pm.
