Schumer, Massa & Higgins Urge Speedy Action from the President on Disaster Declaration
08/23/09US Senator Charles E. Schumer, Congressman Eric Massa (NY-29) and Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-27) sent a letter to President Obama today requesting swift approval of a Presidential Disaster Declaration for Western New York areas impacted by the severe floods that hit the area most significantly from August 8 - 10, 2009.

Congressman Eric Massa announces nearly $10 million grant for Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority
08/20/09CORNING, NY - Today, Congressman Eric Massa announced a $9,444,700 grant for the Rochester and Genesee Regional Transportation Authority. These funds, made available by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, will be used to purchase ten 60 foot buses and fifty 40 foot buses.

Rep. Massa Town Hall Schedule Update
08/20/09CORNING, NY -Today Congressman Eric Massa announced his updated Town Hall Meeting schedule for the month of August. Due to these meetings being extended until every question is answered, the previously named West Almond Town Hall meeting has been combined with the Almond Town Hall on August 24th to allow for more time at one location. Additionally, the Perinton healthcare town hall meeting has been moved to the outdoor amphitheatre at the same location and Victor High School has been named as a rain backup location (a determination based on weather reports will be made at least one day prior to the event).
