Objective

Gold Key USA (GKUSA) is a service designed to match international buyers traveling to the U.S. with pre-screened, pre-qualified export ready U.S. companies. The GKUSA is offered at all multi-staffed US Export Assistance Ccenter offices. Additional services such as transportation, translation, and others are available for an additional fee.

Price

The cost of the GKUSA varies by each local Export Assistance Center.Credit card transactions are preferred, but other payment options, including electronic fund transfers, can be arranged.

Gold Key USA Overview

Domestic Commercial Service Trade Specialists will provide:

  • three to five appointments with pre-screened U.S. companies;
  • a market briefing;
  • office space for the day of scheduled appointments;
  • domestic use of fax, telephone and internet;
  • assistance arranging hotel accommodations;
  • interpretation and transportation services for an additional fee;
  • immediately contacting the company or overseas post upon receipt of the preliminary assessment form to ensure that he/she has complete understanding of the types of suppliers the GKUSA client wants to meet;
  • accompanying the GKUSA client on scheduled appointments if requested.

The market briefing is a consultation by a trade specialist about the industry market conditions in the USEAC coverage area for the product or service the GKUSA client is seeking to purchase.

Delivery Time

Each USEAC offices typically requires five weeks from receipt of payment to set up an effective GKUSA. Please contact the office directly to inquire about shorter lead times. In the event that a delay occurs due to unforeseen circumstances, the USEAC office will inform the GKUSA client, the overseas Commercial Service office and Headquarters, via e-mail, of the reason for the delay and the proposed new date for GKUSA to take place.

U.S Commercial Service Quality Assurance

The U.S. Commercial Service ensures that:

  • the U.S. companies are export ready (e.g., the U.S. firm must be ready to fill orders for its products or services in a reasonable timeframe);
  • trade specialists have complete understanding of the product or service the GKUSA client is seeking to purchase;
  • a domestic or overseas trade specialist will serve as client's primary point of contact and respond in a timely manner to all client inquiries;
  • the domestic or overseas trade specialist who takes the order will follow-up with the client after the GKUSA has been completed, addressing the relevancy of appointments, market briefing and product delivery.
