Welcome to my student corner - a section of the web site that I hope will be a resource for Oklahoma students of all ages. Here you can look at opportunities that are available to you, find out how a bill becomes a law, find out more about what sort of work I do as a member of the House of Representatives, and learn how to register to vote.
Opportunities for You:
Congressional Art Competition: Enter a work of art in the annual Congressional Art Competition. Each year a student's artwork from the Fourth District is selected to be on display for visitors to see in the U.S. Capitol building. The winning student receives a complimentary trip to Washington D.C. to attend an art workshop.
Military Service Academy Nominations: If you are under the age of 22 and looking to enter a U.S. Army, Navy, Merchant Marine, or Air Force Academy please review our information and apply for an academy nomination.
Congressional Page Program: Every so often I am able to nominate a candidate to serve as a congressional page on the floor of the House of Representatives in Washington D.C. This opportunity allows high school students to work in the Capitol building for a few months. To find out more about this opportunity click on the link above.
Internship Program: I am proud to offer internship opportunities for students from Oklahoma colleges and universities. Internships are available in Lawton, Ada, Norman, and Washington D.C.
