Center Runway at Dulles Airport Closed for Reconstruction Project

Runway 1C/19C at Dulles temporarily closed in July for the first phase of a project to reconstruct approximately 6,200 feet of runway and adjacent taxiways. Teams Needed for Dulles Plane Pull on Saturday, October 3

Come test your strength--and support Special Olympics Virginia--at the 17th Annual Dulles Day Family Festival and Plane Pull on Saturday, October 3 at Dulles International Airport. At the Plane Pull, teams of 25 people play tug-of-war with a FedEx jet. This is a fun competition so there's no need to hit the gym. Registered teams must raise a minimum of $1000--that's just $40 per person--to pull the plane. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Virginia. Volunteers are also needed to help out at the event. For more information or to sign up a team or volunteer, please visit www.planepull.com.
