WASHINGTON, DC – In celebration of Earth Day, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will hold a press conference to announce hundreds of national park system projects funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The nearly $750 million in investments will create jobs while enhancing visitor experience and conserving the nation’s heritage and history for future generations.
The announcement will take place on the green roof of the Department of Interior Main Building overlooking the National Mall at 11 a.m. EDT.
