ODP Informational Bulletin No. 00-015 September 13, 2000 TO: State Administrative Agency Heads State Administrative Agency Points of Contact FROM: C.H. "Butch" Straub, II Director SUBJECT: Funding allocations for Fiscal Year 2000 Office of State and Local Domestic Preparedness Support (ODP) Grants. The attached list of funding allocations is provided to assist State Administrative Agencies (SAA) with their planning efforts for the expenditure of Fiscal Year 2000 funding. Fiscal Year 2001 funding allocations have not been determined at this time and will be provided at a later date. States are eligible to apply for Fiscal Year 2000 domestic preparedness equipment funding upon completion of statewide threat, risk, and capabilities assessments, and the submission of three- year domestic preparedness strategic plans. To accomplish this, SAAs received planning funds with their Fiscal Year 1999 state agency grant awards. Planning funds will not be provided with the projected Fiscal Year 2000 or 2001 grant funding allocations. Please note that those states that were not eligible for Fiscal Year 1999 funding; American Samoa, the District of Columbia, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, are eligible for ODP Fiscal Year 2000 equipment funding, which also includes planning fund allocations as noted on the attached list. Needs assessment results and strategic plans will cover a two-year period for these jurisdictions, beginning with Fiscal Year 2000. Please feel free to contact your ODP program manager for additional information regarding Fiscal Year 2000 funding.
