Weight Lifting May Help to Avert Lymphedema Problem

Research led by Kathryn Schmitz, PhD, MPH, an associate professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a member of the Abramson Cancer Center, is highlighted in a story on the front page of the New York Times' Science Times section, discussing her recent New England Journal of Medicine paper, which overturns years of advice given to breast cancer patients who suffer from the arm-swelling condition lymphedema following surgery.
