FOLFIRI regimen (… REH-jih-men)

 An abbreviation for a chemotherapy combination used to treat advanced colorectal cancer that has spread. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. It includes the drugs leucovorin (folinic acid), fluorouracil, and irinotecan. Also called FOLFIRI.
