  • June 3-7, 2007: NFPA World Safety Congress and Exposition, Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Boston, Massachusetts.
    • June 5, 2007: Lee Anne Jillings, then-Director, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs, USDOL-OSHA; and Guy Colonna, Assistant Vice President, Hazardous Chemicals/Materials, NFPA; gave a presentation "OSHA's Compliance Assistance Resources," which highlighted OSHA's products and training programs, including materials developed through the OSHA and Safe Tank Alliance.
    • June 5, 2007: Mat Chibbaro, Fire Protection Engineer, Directorate of Standards and Guidance, USDOL-OSHA, gave a presentation "Fire Service Features of Buildings and Fire Protection Systems."
  • May 6-12, 2007: 2007 North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week. The National Fire Protection Association and a number of other Alliance Program participants supported 2007 NAOSH Week; "All Modes of Transportation." Sponsored annually by the American Society of Safety Engineers, an Alliance Program participant, and the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering, the Week focuses on the importance of preventing injuries and illnesses in the workplace.
  • April 17-18, 2007: Safe Tank Entry Best Practices Seminar, Houston Area Safety Council, Houston, Texas. Through the OSHA and Safe Tank Alliance, Safe Tank participants developed and presented "Safe Tank Entry Best Practices Seminar" at the Houston Area Safety Council in Houston, Texas. During the Seminar, safe work practices and new technology being used by the oil and gas industry for entering and cleaning tanks were among the topics presented to industry and government representatives.
  • November 15-16, 2006: STI Pressure Vessel Conference, Hilton Houston Post Oak, Houston, Texas.
    • November 16, 2006: Chuck Williams, then-Director, Region VI, Houston, Texas South Area Office, USDOL-OSHA, provided an update, "Hexavalent Chromium Permissible Exposure Limit – Regulation Overview," on the revised hexavalent chromium standard to 40 safety and health professionals.
  • November 5-9, 2006: 2006 National Safety Congress and Expo, San Diego County Convention Center, San Diego, California.
    • November 7, 2006: Lee Anne Jillings, then-Director, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs, USDOL-OSHA; and Bill Erny, API, along with other Alliance participants, spoke to 10 attendees about training products developed through the Alliance Program in a workshop entitled, "Success of the Alliance Program: Best Practices," during the National Safety Congress.
  • June 4-8, 2006: NFPA World Safety Congress and Exposition, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida.
    • June 6, 2006: Mat Chibbaro, Fire Protection Engineer, Directorate of Standards and Guidance, USDOL-OSHA, gave a presentation titled, "Combustible Dust in Industry" to over 100 attendees.
    • June 6, 2006: Lee Anne Jillings, then-Director, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, USDOL-OSHA, gave a presentation on OSHA's cooperative and compliance assistance programs, with a particular focus on the Safe Tank Alliance to 35 attendees.
  • November 17-18, 2005: API Contractor Management Conference, Austin, Texas.
    • Joann Natarajan, Compliance Assistance Specialist, Region VI, Austin, Texas Area Office, USDOL-OSHA; and Ron Tom, Texas Workers Compensation Commission, Workers' Safety and Health Division; staffed the OSHA and Safe Tank Alliance Program exhibit booth during the conference.
  • October 24-27, 2005: 2005 Storage Tank Management and Technology Conference and Safe Tank Entry Workshop, Sheraton Crescent, Phoenix, Arizona.
    • October 25, 2005: Ernie Miller, Industrial Hygiene Consultant, Arizona Department of Occupational Safety and Health, gave a presentation on the Consultation Program to 35 attendees.
  • May 2, 2005: API Safety & Fire Protection Sub-committee, Washington, DC.
    • May 2, 2005: Lee Anne Jillings, then-Director, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, USDOL-OSHA and Jess McCluer, then-Program Analyst, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, USDOL-OSHA updated the subcommittee on the OSHA Alliance Program and activities of the Safe Tank Entry Alliance.
  • April 7-8, 2005: Safe Tank Entry Best Practices Seminar, ChevronTexaco Technology Center, Richmond, California. Through the OSHA and Safe Tank Alliance, Safe Tank participants developed and presented "Safe Tank Entry Best Practices Seminar" at the ChevronTexaco Technology Center in Richmond, California. During the Seminar, safe tank entry and new tank design were among the topics presented to industry and government representatives. [More...]
  • November 1-4, 2004: 2004 Storage Tank Management and Technology Conference and Safe Tank Entry Workshop, Nashville, Tennessee.
    • OSHA had a tabletop display at the exhibit hall.
    • November 3, 2004: Jess McCluer, then-Program Analyst, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, USDOL-OSHA, made a presentation to over 100 attendees on the Alliance Program and the activities of the Safe Tank Alliance.
