10/9/07 - Presented S.T.A.R.T. training with Mike Foreman to11 MRL Equipment managers in Billings.
10/18-19/07 - Presented at MCCF, MCA, OSHA joint 10-hour OSHA class in Helena to 9 MCCF and non-MCCF representatives.
1/9-11/08 - MCA Winter Convention. OSHA in attendance.
2/25/08 - MCCF, OSHA and Mike Allison of Sletten Companies met in Great Falls to discuss future involvement with the construction company and a possible partnership.
3/20/08 - Video conference call between MCCF and MCCF members with Ross Yeager, OSHA Area Director participating.
8/15/08 - Meeting with Keith and Mike F. in Billings to discuss a new alliance with t a focus on mobile crane operations.

MCCF and OSHA met several times during the year informally at various locations in Montana discussing training and outreach for MCCF members.
Numerous phone calls and emails were made during the year for information regarding the OSHA rules and regulations.

  9/7/07 - K Wing presented OSHA Intro, BBP and Hazcom training to 30+ dental hygiene and dental assisting students at MSU-COT, Great Falls.
  10/9/07 - MCCF conducted S.T.A.R.T. (Supervisor Training in Accident Reduction Techniques) training with OSHA to 11 MRL Equipment managers in Billings.
  10/18-19/07 - MCCF, MCA (Montana Contractors’ Association), OSHA joint 10-hour OSHA class in Helena to 9 MCCF and non-MCCF representatives. Topics included scaffolding, electrical, fall protection, OSHA, concrete/masonry, excavations,
  2/26/08 – MCCF presented safety data and Mike Foreman presented OHSA information to 9 managers and employees of Montana Lines in Great Falls.
  4/8/08 - Mike Foreman presented OSHA information to 8 or 10 TC Glass employees and management.
  4/10/08 – MCCF attended Mike Foreman’s Electrical Arc Flash and Hexchrom presentations at the SMASH meeting in Butte.
  5/14-16/08 - Attended presentations by Ross Yeager on Arc Flash and Montana Safety at the Intermountain NW Safety Conference in West Yellowstone.
  6/11/08 - MCCF sponsored a fall hazard demonstration by DBI-SALA and presented fall protection training to 75 to 100 MCCF and non-MCCF employees in Great Falls.
  During each outreach/training session meetings were conducted between MCCF and OSHA discussing the direction of our alliance.

  Keith Wing, MCCF Safety Consultant, developed several internal documents for the MCCF clients identifying different methods of hazard recognition and implementing safety and health check lists for their clients.

• Events
  
  In May of 2008, the Billings Area Office manned a Booth in conjunction with the ASSE, Big Sky Chapter, annual conference in West Yellowstone, Montana. The Area Director and a CSHO from this office attended the conference. There were numerous questions answered from attendees which included members affiliated with the MCCF (Montana Contractor Compensation Fund).
  MCCF presented the OSHA Intro, BBP, Hazard Communications, and our Alliance progress to a group of 30 students at the Montana State University - College of Technology, in Great Falls on September 7, 2007.
  The MCCF continues to promote the Alliance and their relationship with OSHA in their quarterly newsletter.
  The MCCF conducts quarterly safety committee meetings with their client members. An agenda is formulated with input from the members on various topics of interest, including the progress of the alliance.
  The MCCF client members have increased the utilization of the Montana Department of Labor and Industry for free on-site consultation visits.
  As a result of this Alliance the MCCF several of the client members have been utilizing the outreach services of the Billings Area Office through phone calls and emails asking questions about the regulations and how they might apply to their particular job site. This approach to open communications has been increasingly successful.

  MCCF developed handouts for Fall Protection, Excavations and Back Health. Forms were developed for Soil Classification and Confined Space Entry.
   

• Events
  
  During each outreach session and or training session presented by the MCCF and OSHA the alliance and the relationships were presented in a positive manner.
  The MCCF is in contact with their member company representatives on a constant basis, either personally, via email, telephone, or cellular phones.
  The MCCF Safety Consultant schedules site visits to inspect their client’s projects for safety and health concerns. The inspection results are discussed on site and documented for future reference and possible follow up.

All accidents, fatalities, and near miss reports are investigated by the MCCF Safety Consultant with cooperation from the involved company representatives. These investigations were documented and presented before the entire MCCF Safety Committee for comments and feed back. These investigations are presented in a positive manner as a learning experience for all member companies.
