AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING AN ALLIANCE BETWEEN THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR BISMARCK AREA OFFICE AND THE AUTOMOTIVE LIFT INSTITUTE AND THE AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATION OF NORTH DAKOTA AND THE SOUTH DAKOTA AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATION AND THE SOUTH DAKOTA INDEPENDENT AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATION |

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) and The Automobile Dealers Association of North Dakota (ADAND) and The South Dakota Automobile Dealers Association (SDADA) and The South Dakota Independent Automobile Dealers Association (SDIADA) recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. OSHA, ALI, ADAND, SDADA, and SDIADA hereby form an Alliance to provide the organization’s members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect students and employees’ health and safety, particularly in reducing and preventing exposure to potential hazards associated with operating automotive lifts. In developing this Alliance, OSHA, ALI, ADAND, SDADA, and SDIADA recognize that the Consultation Project partners are an integral part of the OSHA national effort. OSHA, ALI, ADAND, SDADA, and SDIADA work together to achieve the following training and education goals:
An implementation team made up of representatives of all organizations will meet to develop a plan of action, determine working procedures, and identify the roles and responsibilities of the participants. In addition, they will meet at least three times per year to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. Additionally, the Department of Career and Technical Education (DCTE) and North Dakota and South Dakota OSHA Consultation programs will be considered stakeholders and encouraged to participate on the team. This agreement will remain in effect for a two year period. Any signatory may terminate this agreement for any reason at any time, provided the give 30 days written notice. This agreement may be modified at any time with the concurrence of all signatories.
