ALLIANCE REPORT Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the October 29, 2005 |

1. Alliance Background Date Signed October 10, 2003 Overview The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and The Centro de Apoyo, Recursos Y Oportunidades (CLARO) recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. OSHA and the CLARO formed an Alliance to provide CLARO members and others with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help protect them employees’ health and safety, particularly in reducing and preventing occupational injury and illness to Hispanic workers. Activities OSHA and CLARO have worked together to achieve the following training and education goals:
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and The Centro de Apoyo, Recursos Y Oportunidades (CLARO) are committed to continuing to raise awareness of workplace safety and health, with an emphasis on the hispanic employers/employees. There is currently work in progress regarding collaboration with two additional organizations in an effort to reach out to the Hispanic workforce. CLARO continues to promote this collaboration with OSHA, in particular while attending meetings and forums. Both OSHA and CLARO are working together to foster new innovative solutions in order to reach as many workplaces as possible and continue to search for opportunities to increase in the participation of groups in the coming year. |
