Activities and Products IV. Results The Madison area office has continued to pursue a working relationship with the ICWJ, trying to get the word out to our mutual customers, immigrant workers in general and Hispanic/Latino workers in particular, about their workplace rights and safety and health matters. The amount of work that we have been able to accomplish has been mitigated by the ICWJ’s continuing funding problems. However; we have made strides in establishing communications with them and taking part in their activities: May 6, 2005 – sent out 550 announcements to persons on the ICWJ mailing list announcing the re-signing of the alliance. A copy of an employee’s workplace rights brochure, written in Spanish and English, was included in the mailing. August 29, 2005 – gave a presentation to the ICWJ client advocates (All About OSHA) and answered their questions regarding filing complaints with OSHA. November 12, 2005 – participated in a training session for ICWJ advocates, informing them of workers’ OSHA rights. ICWJ Training Committee – As a result of attending their strategic planning session, we were able to join their training committee which meets regularly to set up training for ICWJ advocates, service providers to low income/working class persons and other pertinent persons on safety and health topics.
