KidsHealth Comes From Nemours
The award-winning KidsHealth comes from Nemours, one of the largest nonprofit organizations devoted to children's health.
Established in 1936 by philanthropist Alfred I. duPont, Nemours is dedicated to improving the health and spirit of children. Nemours supports a number of renowned children's health facilities, including the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware; Nemours Children's Clinic with specialty practice locations in the Delaware Valley and North and Central Florida; and primary care offices in Delaware and Pennsylvania. A recent issue of Parents magazine recognized the duPont Hospital for Children as one of the nation's "Top 25 Best Children's Hospitals." Nemours is currently developing a new children's health campus in Orlando, Florida, including the Nemours Children's Hospital.
Nemours also supports important clinical research that transforms scientific advances into practical ways to improve health care for kids and, through Nemours Health and Prevention Services (NHPS) and other advocacy and prevention programs, develops innovative ways to work with communities to help kids grow up healthy.
The Nemours Center for Children's Health Media, a national leader in health education, creates KidsHealth.org as well as other online, print, and video programs. These resources bring knowledge, perspective, advice, and comfort to tens of millions of families every year.
