Marilyn with the kids

Hand washing is fundamental

Marilyn Palmer and Shonia Zollicoffer
visited Briar Vista Elementary school on November 14, 2008 to talk with children in K-5th grades about overall good health and how important it is to wash your hands. Marilyn and Shonia did a hand washing demonstration using "glow germ" and a black light. All 300 children who participated that day went home with the following handouts: Be A Germ Stopper, Are you Ready, and Wash your Hands. Gaffga, a representative of the school′s PTA said, “The kids were so excited that conversations about this subject went on during the remainder of the day! We saw them more aware of washing their hands and making sure their classmates were doing the same. We also heard them singing the birthday song while washing their hands. Your presentation was a success!!
