R25E Grant can support education research and dissemination activities in integrative science

This notice clarifies that the NCI's R25E grant mechanism can be used to support education research and research dissemination activities in integrative science.

Listing of Recovery Act Funding Opportunities and Announcements

Training grants are eligible for two types of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grants.

  1. NOT-OD-09-058: Competitive Revision Applications for R25T, R25E, T32, and K12 grants.
  2. NOT-OD-09-056: Administrative Supplement Applications for all Career Development K series awards, T32, and R25T/E grants.

K award recipient salaries have increased

Effective for competing applications awarded after January 1, 2009:
  1. New salary caps for the K01, K07, K08, K22, K23, K25, the mentored K99 phase of the K99/R00 award, and for individual scholars supported by the NCI Paul Calabresi Award for Clinical Oncology (K12) are $100K per year for a 75% effort (9 CM) commitment.
  2. New salary caps for the K05 and K24 awards are up to $100,000 per year for 50% effort (6 CM) commitment. 
  3. New salary cap for the Career Enhancement Award for Stem Cell Research (K18) is $100,000 per year for 100% effort (12 CM) commitment.

F32 and T32 Fellows stipends have increased

Effective for competing applications awarded after October 1, 2008, the new stipend levels for FY09 Kirschstein-NRSA awards for undergraduate, predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees and fellows have been released.

K awards must be submitted electronically
[released: 12.12.2008; Updated: 01.28.2009]

Effective with the February 12, 2009 submission date, all Research Career Development Award Programs ("K"s) with the exception of K12s, must be submitted electronically.

T32 Programs for Transdisciplinary Training in the Chemical Biology of Cancer
[released: 07.25.2007]

This Notice welcomes T32 applications submitted by chemistry departments that are focused on the chemical biology of cancer and involved in partnerships with NCI-designated cancer centers and, where available, NCI Integrative Cancer Biology Program (ICBP) Centers.
