About the National Gaucher Foundation

The National Gaucher Foundation (NGF), a non-profit organization established in 1984, has funded millions of dollars to support and promote research towards the cause, treatments and a cure for Gaucher disease. To meet the ever-increasing needs of individuals with Gaucher disease and their families, The NGF offers a wide range of programs and resources for the benefit of the Gaucher community. The NGF funds research, offers financial assistance, promotes education and awareness, supports legislative issues and provides outreach programs vital to the Gaucher community. Through The National Gaucher Care Foundation, the CARE Program and the Care+Plus Program provide critical financial assistance to individuals with Gaucher Disease. In support of medical and lay-community awareness, the NGF holds live Web meetings, national conferences, patient meetings and seminars and runs national and regional marketing programs.

In an effort to build both national and international relationships, the NGF is a member of many genetic disease organizations throughout the world and fosters relationships in the medical and legislative communities as well. Through its quarterly newsletter, the NGF provides informative and up-to-date information on topics ranging from the latest research, legislation, medical questions, personal stories to exercises and events. For a fee of $35 per year, members of the NGF receive copies of the Gaucher Community news, discounts on conferences and seminar registrations and Gaucher-related materials.
