BISMARCK, N.D. -- As conditions continue to change across North Dakota, state and federal emergency managers have begun reallocating resources while planning for an expected second crest of the Red River later this month. The response is being coordinated by the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services (NDDES) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The following resources have been allocated or remain in place in the local, tribal, state and federal flood fighting effort:

FEMA leads and supports the nation in a risk-based, comprehensive emergency management system of preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation, to reduce the loss of life and property and protect the nation from all hazards including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters.
