U.S. Census Bureau’s Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) – In Spanish

(Spanish version of this page)

Participate in these webinars to learn about the Foreign Trade Regulations which are mandatory when exporting products overseas. These webinars will be offered in Spanish and presented by the U.S. Census Bureau, Foreign Trade Division. Understanding the requirements of the FTR will help your company avoid possible penalties and seizure of your shipments. Penalty violations range from $1,100 to $10,000 per violation.

The first session will cover the legal requirements that guide the collection of the Electronic Export Information (EEI), filing timeframes, exclusions from filing, and responsibilities of all parties involved in an export transaction. This session will also explain penalties, mitigation, voluntary self-disclosure and corrections to your EEI. During the second session, a workshop will be offered covering how to use AESPcLink which is available at www.aesdirect.gov. This is a free application, available in Spanish that you can download to transmit EEI. The third session will cover the harmonized system, useful classification tools, as well as the Schedule B Manual.

Cost for each webinar is $50 per participant. For more information, contact Linda Abbruzzese at Linda.Abbruzzese@mail.doc.gov.
