Office of the Chief Scientist

Serves as the agency's focus for scientific, medical, and other related activities. Also responsible for managing the FDA Commissioner's Fellowship Program.

Provides integrated policy analysis and strategic consultation to FDA top management on issues that affect significant agency programs, projects and initiatives.

Office of Chief Counsel

Provides legal advice and policy guidance for programs administered by FDA. Represents the agency in civil litigation, criminal litigation, and administrative hearings.

Oversees compliance with equal employment opportunities, diversity management, and conflict prevention and resolution.
