MEDLINE/PubMed Search & Electronic Health Record Information Resources

The Electronic Health Record search focuses on all aspects of the Electronic Health Record. Subjects include: implementation, attitudes, beliefs and use, data privacy, health data standards and consumer access to the EHR and personal health records (PHRs).

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) defines the electronic health record as "An electronic record of health-related information on an individual that conforms to nationally recognized interoperability standards and that can be created, managed, and consulted by authorized clinicians and staff across more than one health care organization." The National Library of Medicine® is a major participant in electronic health record development.
