WHAT:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) media relations team has launched a new service for journalists.
Credentialed journalists can sign up to receive summary statements and embargoed copies of articles from CDC’s Emerging Infectious Disease journal. The summaries will be sent under embargo the second Tuesday of each month. Articles and summaries will be available to the general public the second Wednesday of each month at noon.
Emerging Infectious Diseases is a CDC-published, peer-reviewed journal established expressly to promote the recognition of new and reemerging infectious diseases around the world and improve the understanding of factors involved in disease emergence, prevention, and elimination. Articles are published online throughout the month, followed by a hardcopy edition. The journal relies on a broad international authorship base and is rigorously peer-reviewed by independent reviewers from all over the world.
