Export Alaska Celebration, now a luncheon…

…of the Export Council of Alaska, World Trade Center Alaska and the U.S. Commercial Service, this annual gathering is the major international trade event of the year. Alaska’s exports are booming, reaching an all-time high of $4 billion in 2006.  Join us in celebrating the success of Alaskan companies in exporting good and services to overseas markets. The event features the Governor’s Exporter of the Year Awards, World Trade Center Alaska’s Ambassador Circle Award and the presentation of scholarships to students pursuing an international career. This year, the event will take place at  the Egan Convention Center.

2007 Scholarship Winners

Susannah Tobey - Copper Center, AK- Sophomore at the University of Wyoming pursuing a double major in International Studies and Russian.

Stephanie Hinckle- Douglas, AK- A graduate of Juneau Douglas High School, she plans on attending school in Idaho and pursuing an international degree.

Elizabeth Jayne- Fairbanks, AK-Junior at the University of Fairbanks pursuing a major in Japanese studies.

Amelia Josephson - Anchorage, AK-A graduate of West High School, she will be attending school at Columbia University and pursuing a degree in International Relations and Latin America.
