The 38th District's 2009 Congressional Art Contest
On Saturday, March 11th, Rep. Grace Napolitano hosted the 38th District Congressional Art Competition. The Congresswoman made a personal gift of $100, $75 and $50 to the first, second and third place winners. This year's winning work, "Maria in Wonderland," by Nataly Moreno, has been hung inside the U.S. Capitol.
The second place painting, "Sitting," by Antonio Dominguez, will be shown in the Congresswoman's Washington, DC office and the third place work of art, "Grandpa," by Estefania Gomez, will be exhibited in her office in Santa Fe Springs.

The works were judged by renowned artists Cao Yong of Cao Yong Editions and Juan Solis of Galeria Mijares and filmmaker Christopher Coppola from Christopher Coppola Productions.
