Message from the FDIC

The FDIC and Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection are committed to being a leader in serving as a resource to the MDI community.

Message from DSC’s Director Sandra Thompson

Employees at the FDIC take great pride in knowing that the work we do each day goes beyond providing deposit insurance in case an insured bank or savings institution were to fail. In particular, the FDIC is pleased to serve and support the Minority Depository Institution Community in a wide variety of areas as described in our Statement of Policy and throughout this webpage.

Here you can learn how the FDIC is encouraging the preservation of MDI ownership and the resources that are available to assist MDIs. If you need assistance or have any questions about the MDI program or available resources and want to learn more about what the FDIC is doing to assist MDIs, please contact your Regional MDI Coordinator.

Sandra L. Thompson
Director
FDIC Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection
