2009 Sacramento River Salmon Federal Fishery Disaster:

pdf Press Release on Sacramento Salmon Disaster (April 30, 2009)
2009 Checks have been mailed to California and Oregon individuals who applied and received funds under the 2008 Sacramento River Federal Chinook Salmon Disaster who have been affected by the 2009 commercial salmon fishery closure. This payment was based on the available funds for California and Oregon as a percentage of what each individual was paid in California and Oregon in the 2008 Sacramento River Federal Fishery Disaster. These funds are taxable and the IRS will be provided with this information. Washington will not be receiving a 2009 payment because the salmon fishery will be open North of Cape Falcon in 2009.
