Welcome aboard, potential shipmates! CGC BOUTWELL is one of 4 High Endurance Cutters home ported in Alameda, California and we are proud of our reputation as "The Best in The West" Safe and effective accomplishment of our missions requires preparation, organization, and teamwork, so the things you are learning at TRACEN Cape May will serve you well here. A High Endurance Cutter like BOUTWELL is an excellent platform for a new Coast Guard member who wants to see how each of our diverse enlisted ratings contributes to operational excellence. In addition, every member of the crew gets to visit places they might never otherwise see and has numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth. Your onboard mentors, the First Class and Chief Petty Officers, will help you create your own Individual Development Plan to map out your goals and help you achieve them while we work together to achieve nationally and internationally important missions.
