On August 28 and 29, USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack and Michael V. Michener, Administrator of USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), are participating in the 50-year anniversary celebrations for Khrushchev’s visit to Iowa.  Michener is addressing the Iowa Agribusiness Export Partnership in Des Moines on August 28, and Vilsack and Michener are addressing the Agricultural Progress Festival, in Coon Rapids, Iowa, on August 29.  Michener is remaining in Iowa to provide information to agribusiness firms and specialty grain traders and shippers in Des Moines about FAS programs and services for trade support.  He also will address the Midwest Shippers Specialty Grains Conference on September 1 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
